Shettima Commends Roxettes Motors For Pioneering Sustainable Solutions
Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima has lauded the management of Nigeria’s innovative electric car and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) manufacturing company, Roxettes Motors, for its proactive approach in addressing the country’s transportation and energy challenges.
During a recent courtesy visit from Dr. Kaycee Orji, the Managing Director and CEO of Roxettes Motors, Shettima emphasized the crucial role of supporting local enterprises in driving economic diversification and promoting sustainable development. His remarks underscored the potential of technological advancements to revolutionize urban mobility and public transportation throughout Nigeria.
The discussion featured Dr. Orji presenting strategies focused on Green Automotive Innovation and National Development, aimed at enhancing the country’s automotive and industrial sectors. Both leaders recognized the importance of innovation, sustainability, and collaborative efforts in tackling the nation’s pressing challenges.
The meeting provided an avenue to explore innovative solutions for accelerating Nigeria’s transition to cleaner energy, modernizing transportation infrastructure, and creating job opportunities through advanced technology and industrial growth.
Dr. Orji stated, “Roxettes Motors stands as a leader in automotive innovation in Nigeria, spearheading the promotion of electric vehicles (EVs) and CNG-powered cars.” He highlighted the company’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions while simultaneously fostering local manufacturing and industrialization.
“Our vision is to establish Nigeria as a global front runner inrenewable energy and sustainable transportation by harnessing local talent and developing innovative solutions that will benefit all Nigerians,” Dr. Orji articulated during their discussions.
He also showcased the flagship lineup of vehicles offered by Roxettes Motors, featuring cutting-edge electric and CNG-powered models. “These vehicles are designed to decrease the nation’s reliance on fossil fuels, minimize emissions, and align with global sustainability initiatives,” he explained.
Furthermore, Dr. Orji provided insights into the company’s ongoing projects in Obuaku City, Abia State, where Roxettes Motors is building a dynamic industrial hub. He reaffirmed the company’s dedication to generating thousands of jobs for Nigerians, including opportunities in skilled manufacturing, energy, and technology, alongside vocational training programs for the youth.
Additionally, plans are underway to establish an automotive university, envisioned as a center for research and education in renewable energy, electric vehicle technology, and advanced mobility solutions. “This institution aims to equip the next generation of Nigerians with the knowledge and skills needed to take on leadership roles in the global green technology movement,” he concluded.
